A Good Time Was Had By All !!
Hello and salutations to all the Memorial1980 members and friends!
Simply put, in my opinion, Friday night's Class of 1980 reunion event at D'Novo's was spectacular. I had so much fun reconnecting and seeing old friends and reaquainting with some which I barely knew and ultimately being introduced and even introducing myself to faces I recognized but never knew in high school. It was great seeing the people that were there and finding out about their lives, families and careers.
I cannot say enough about the job which Pat Calhoun, John Lee and ALL of the others executed in putting it all together. The result of their collective labors and efforts made for a great evening. Of course they were wonderful hosts and the atmosphere was relaxed but yet very festive. And you all know that it had to be pretty intense work to make this happen and turn out so wonderful. Please be sure to acknowledge the committee's efforts and thank them for a "job well done!" We all know these don't come around very often so it's important to let these people know they are GREATLY appreciated.
For those of you who could not attend Friday night's event, I would encourage and even exhort you to attempt to move Heaven and earth to try to make it to the Hard Rock Casino and Hotel for tonight's activities. I can tell you it will be so much fun for you and everyone that attends!
I never cease to be amazed at how incredible people can be, and the Tulsa Memorial Class of 1980 seems to be exceedingly incredible in personal character, integrity, drive, ambition and most of all greatness. These are people proud of their husbands and wives, children and careers, simply trying to live the best life they can with what they have. My admiration of them grew exponentially last night.
It was great seeing all of you last night. I compare how I look forward to this evening's festivities to the old Heinz Ketchup commercial with the Carly Simon song "Anticipation" as the soundtrack motif. Simply put, I can't wait! For those unable to attend, we will simply miss you!
Sincerely and Respectfully,
